Adrienne was raised on the Baja, arriving in San Jose del Cabo in August of 1991 with her parents, Marty and René, and her sister Wendy. They came from Phoenix, Arizona in search of adventure, and most importantly, to be back in a coastal town, as Adrienne’s parents both grew up on the shores of Southern California, in Huntington beach and in Los Angeles.
Los Cabos was ripe with opportunity back in the early 90s, yet it wasn’t for everyone. The conveniences of a developed country were not entirely in place – grocery shopping was an all-day chore with stops at the fish monger, the produce shop, the butcher, the canned and dried good store, and more. There were tortillerias, taquerias and cevicherias – including the still famous Rossy’s tacos, which back then was nothing but a little trailer close to their current location.
Adrienne’s dad, Marty, was offered a job overseeing a few developments, as well as participating in the new developments sales. These developments included Mira Vista, Viva, and a couple commercial plazas. Adrienne grew up on these jobs sites and still works closely with many of the contractors and professionals who started out back then, who were fundamental in building and shaping the Los Cabos we know and love today. Marty eventually went on to open his own real estate brokerage, known as “Desierto Verde de Los Cabos”, where his focus became commercial real estate, putting together some incredible parcel sales, and even listing two of the-then private islands off the coast of La Paz.
Los Cabos’s expat community was small at the time, and there was a strong sense of comradery – there were frequent get-togethers at each other’s homes (many lived in the neighborhood Adrienne grew up in, known as “Gringo Hill”. There were volleyball matches at the beach, 4th of July paddleboard races led by family friend Mike Doyle, and live music at Zippers, where Adrienne, not a shy child, would often get up and sing with the band (those days have passed).
Adrienne was always the kid who wanted to follow Dad to work. Not really knowing real estate would become her calling, she just went along, fascinated and learning everything there was to know about the business.
After graduating high school from the incredible Colorado Rocky Mountain School in Carbondale, Colorado, Adrienne moved back to Los Cabos full time in 2004. Since then, Adrienne has held nearly every position imaginable in real estate and has worked with some of the most incredible mentors and friends along the way.
Adrienne met husband Seth here in Los Cabos, who ventured down from Oregon for his career in the golf world, now the Director of Golf at the prestigious Querencia Golf Club. Adrienne and Seth have two toddler boys, both born right here in San Jose del Cabo, at the “nun’s hospital”, a perfectly, quaint little clinic with the warmest health care possible.
This well-rounded knowledge of the real estate world in Los Cabos coupled with Adrienne’s strong sense of home pride and purpose elevate Adrienne’s intentions for this brokerage – to be of maximum service to our customers and clients.
